Hi, everyone!

Ms. Edith B. is going to be on sabbatical for awhile.

a) my 14-year-old, work-horse Acer laptop finally bit the dust.  I have managed to scrounge up another laptop, but I haven't yet hooked up the printer/scanner.  And I no longer have access to Word or Excel (I'm working on it.)

b) and for those of you who don't already know, I had double cataract surgery at the end of February.  Surgery went well but staring at computer screens is disconcerting and a little disorientating.  I'm also not checking e-mail very often.

Other than that, I'm doing well and looking forward to seeing everyone soon! (see what I did there!)
